This guy's got the method that works. Unlike other creators, he stresses the step in transferring by replacing the files in the formatted new micro-SD card, rather than the ineffective whole folder drag-and-drop. Thanks so much for the help.

Thanks for breaking it down and making it easy for us. This will definitely save me a headache next week when I transfer over to the OLED and get a bigger micro SD card.

I tried and failed three times myself just reformatting new one, trying to transfer over the Nintendo folder, and then switch kept saying could not read microSD card. Followed your video, dragging the each folder's files separately and it worked! thank you so much! Everyone definitely follow the 6:00-8:00 part VERY CAREFULLY!

I just have to say, especially as a Mac user, your video is the ONLY video that I've found after multiple times not working that has an easy detailed instructions for this process, but also mentioned the photos being an issue for the regular copy-paste folder method. Even large companies and big name tubers 'I've watched didn't mention some of this, I could have saved so many hours lol. Definitely a new subscribe from me.

Upgraded to a 1 TB card and followed these steps and it worked perfectly, thanks for the vid, even Nintendo's own website as well as other youtubers just said to copy the data over but I had heard that doesn't work. I can confirm this methods works 100%.

Man, I tried following a few other videos that just completely ignored how to transfer the folders and where and had a hell of a time trying to figure out what was wrong, thanks so much for explaining it properly

Thank you SO much sir. I just upgraded my switch’s SD card from 256gb to 512 and somehow along the way I messed up and wasn’t able to transfer everything correctly because usually everyone would do the tutorial on PC’s and not MacOS, you are the first video I found that does this tutorial for people with macOS! It PERFECTLY worked!!!! Everything transferred. Thank you again!!! I subscribed

Thanks for the video, it worked flawlessly! I followed instructions from other videos that stated to copy the whole Nintendo folder and the micro SD was not recognized. Your video was a life saver! Thanks!

worked perfectly I like how you actually showed it working as you did it, made the whole thing more reassuring since most of the other tutorials just drag and drop the whole folder and say its done

I've been stuck only having one game on my Switch because it took up all the space on my device + old sd card...BUT THIS METHOD ACTUALLY WORKED! THANK YOU, now I can finally fully enjoy the Switch again and not get stuck just playing the one game. SUBSCRIBED!

Hey there!! So I've been meaning to upgrade my storage on my switch and recently...i needed more so I remembered this vid for just this moment. I did everything you instructed BUT BUT BUT I also copied over my pics and screenshots and everything went over perfectly. Idk maybe they made an update that makes it possible to transfer them over properly now but I'm so happy you made this video man. feels so good. Went from a 128 to a 256 haha

This video was 20 months ago(September 27, 2021) but it is LEGIT! it works up until now, I just upgraded my sd card from 128 gigs to 256 gigs. Take note my pc runs on windows 11 and this process still works unlike what others say that the sd card won't be recognizable on the switch if you did it on a pc that runs on win11. Thank you so much for making this tutorial it is very easy to follow non of my games were corrupted or needed to be redownload... 🙂👍👍

Great step by step guide! As you said, this should be a much simpler process, but this video helped a lot.

I just did this, using Windows 11, and it worked perfectly. I only have one game, on a Game Card, but I was very happy to be able to transfer the game progress to a new SD card.
