EVERY Member of Parliament in 2015 voted to allow the people of the UK a referendum on whether we remain or leave the EU, except 53 Scottish Nationalist Party MP's. The European Referendum Act 2015 Act subsequently passed on its third reading in the Commons on 7 September 2015 and was approved by the House of Lords on 14 December 2015 and given Royal Assent on 17 December 2015 - coming partly into force on the same day and came into full legal force on 1 February 2016.

The intension is to remove all hope in the EU that the UK will not leave the EU on the 31st of October, deal or no deal.

Sloganeering and electioneering by a dimwitted clown who spent his life setting up a pitfall, just so that he could step right into it and drag the entire country with him. In what is turning out to be the world's most elaborate comedy skit.

So people are saying its undemocratic to suspend parliament so they can't mess with brexit
Since the country voted leave, the remain side has done nothing but go against the people and try to stop brexit
Which itself is undemocratic

No more vote
No more discussions
A deal wont be made
Lets just leave and get it over and done with

Move forward

As a Remainer, this could be a cunning way to get something from the EU and reach a deal. If it works, fine. If it doesn't, we're fucked. Not necessarily because of Brexit (although I don't agree at all with it, I accept we lost even if the Referendum shouldve specified on what terms)...but because democracy has been suspended. Parliamentary sovereignty bypassed. As a Remainer i have defended Brexiters right to achieve a deal against the FBPE lot, because of democracy and parl procedure. If Boris gets this tbrough without going through Parl it will never be considered valid, and will always be divisive and cut the legs off any form of Leadership in this country for years, whether Left, Right or Centre.

If parliament isn't fit for purpose there should be a general election so that the public gets to vote in new members of parliament to represent them, Boris Johnson isn't doing this instead he's seeking remove parliaments ability to represent the electorate.

Nothing democratic about this.
