GCSE FRENCH REVISION IDEA TO START NOW!
✅ Try out my super short GCSE French quizzes to check gaps in your GCSE knowledge and get them filled! 1. GCSE FRENCH EXAM BOARD SPECIFICATION:
AQA, Pearson Edexcel etc have a specification for GCSE French. You can find that by Googling: 'GCSE French Specification INSERT YOUR EXAM BOARD HERE' there are pages with vocabulary (usually at the back and this is usually listed by topic). Let me know if you can't find a vocab list for your spec and I'll add it for you.
2. QUIZLET:
3. LOOK COVER WRITE SAY CHECK METHOD
If you're more into writing, this is the one for you. Write down new gcse french words on an A4 sheet in a column as they come up in reading passages, listening transcripts, or from past papers. Make sure to include genders for nouns and past forms of the verbs for verbs too! ENGLISH then FRENCH, in the rest of the space on each line, look at the French word you want to remember, cover it, say it aloud, write it and check it. If you get it right, leave it for a while, if not do it again and repeat in the future until you know it. You can also do this with specification vocab by topic!
4. ANKI FLASHCARDS
It's similar to Quizlet, but you need to input your own vocabulary. It's an app and free to download. It is a bit tricky to get into it, but stick with it, my HIGHER level students love it and it's made a big difference to their vocab knowledge.
5. AQA FRENCH VOCAB FLASHCARDS
