The Red Haired Thracians (DNA and language)

In this episode I take a look at the origin of red hair in Europe.

R1b had a poligamist male dominated culture, so young men traveled in groups to find new lands and women. Others became celibate due to the women being taken by powerful men and not available. Early R1b went to Africa and Spain, but some groups went through areas like the Thracian-Balkans picking up red haired spouses and continuing on into Celtic areas. Some went back and forth to their homeland taking red hair with them back to Scythian areas, even silk road tokarians.Trojans, Cleopatra and other redheads were easy to target and annihelate when in war and when famine hit during the end of the bronze age and as powerful traders specialising luxury goods lost out to those cultures specialising in grains and subsistence farming. Red hair is in Balkan early art like Rufus graves, but no longer around in the population there. Neanderthals did have red hair, but so far the gene is different.

I am Bulgarian with red hair, and red hair is kinda rare in Bulgaria. May I be from tracian decent?

How did Thracians splitted up from the rest of Hellenes is still unknown to me, they weren't redheads. Persians called them "Yauna Takabara" and Romans didn't distinguish the Graeci and Traeci and even general Flamininus reports these two have common origin after the battle of Kynos Cephalae.

They were mostly like the other Pelasgians but Thracians and Epirotans had a little bit more redheaded people.

I've personally seen artifacts found from other Historians, Folklorists and Thracologists that uncover the missing link between Greek and Anatolian Languanges including Dacians, most of the medieval evidence are mentioned for Dacians that have the same level of kinship

Dacians were a Thracian Tribe after all.


Together they form the Hellenic branch of languanges. As Konstantinos Koumas, George Lekakis and Xaralampos X Spyridis support. Though Rigas Ferraios uncovered some different links.

I know language is the least important thing about a certain group, if you wanna know their origins and blood kinship.

But Culture speaks itself, also mythology and even today we have Thracian names for a solid amount of toponyms and hydronyms in Eastern Macedonia, Thrace and even Abroad.
Including the countries :

Turkey (both parts)
Romania
North Monkeydonia
And of course Bulgaria


Even surnames and names were similar


Paeonians, Phrygians, Lydians, Macedonians, Epirotans, Thessalians, Greeks and.... Thracians! It makes totally sense if you think about it
Check their languages, Wiki has a good amount of their inscriptions BUT **Wiki isn't a good source for History by any mean** I personally avoid it when I'm Searching about history and any other Historian does. Except if you can't find certain amounts of warfare materials and materials used and looted, after that I recommend to search on a book or somewhere else. Always check the sources of the info that Wiki is providing because anyone can write anything.

Greek, English and German Historians have proved the kinship of Aegean cultures not only by Culture and languange but also by blood. That's why the Todays places that I mentioned have such a distorted Genetic makeup. Albanian blood is actually Hellenised because I've been proven over and over, their connections with Illyrians, Illyrians weren't Pelasgians by any mean. Their looks matched the Roman one, not the Greek, Dacian or even Thracian one because some, want to connect those two but I find it impossible.

There's a failed Bulgarian Thracologist that every serious Thracologist and Historian have been making fun off, even in forums.... If he gives info, then it's hardly truth. Many Thracian words, weren't even Thacian for example the word "White", which he gives a Thracian translation of "Bel" WHERE DID HE FOUND IT????!

The answer is nowhere.

That's why I link them to the other Hellenes also count the fact that Thracian Pelago is a part of the Aegean Pelago, center of Hellenism.

Though Eastern cultures confused Aegean often with Ionian and that's how the exonym "Yunan and Yauna" was created.

Thraki, the daughter of Okeanos and Parthenopi. No other Greek tribe has give some much to Greek civilisation. With Orfeas, music, poetry and the mysteries. Eymolpos created the mysteries of Eleysina. They gave the rest of the Greeks Dionysus and Ares. They spoke Greek, competed in the Olympic Games (you had to prove your Greek bloodline in order to compete), had Greek names, eveything about them is Greek. They always took part in the biggest events of Greek history. Famous Greeks were from Thrace, as Thucydides, Diomidis, Dimokritos, Tegyrios, Poltis, Thamyris etc. It’s ridiculous, illogical, anti Hellenic and crazy to say that they weren’t Greeks. It’s like saying that Macedonians aren’t or the Pelopponesians. Everyone considered them part of the one and only Greek race. There is literally no proof that they weren’t Greeks. Only endless proof that they are and forever will be Greeks. In modern days for political and anti Hellenic reasons they are presented as non Greeks with no proof at all, only empty and unscientific words. No logic, out of reality. Bulgarians are occupying Greek land. The majority of Bulgarians are genetically Greeks but have lost their identity and are being brainwashed to believe they are Slavs. They portray Thracians as non Greeks for their own benefit. Thrace will forever be part of Greece, Thracians will forever be Greeks, no matter the lies, truth won’t change.
