How to Jam Guitar in a Band in 5 steps and/or Levels

I learned how to play Guitar alone and I spent the first 3 years playing acoustic guitar alone. I would sing and play all these songs that I loved, but I really wanted to try my hand at playing in a band. The first time I got the chance to I was amazed, but for all the wrong reasons.... I sounded awful, there were so many things I didn't know how to do. The chords I was using were too muddy and big, I was strumming too much, my timing was off. Good news though, with these five levels you will go from strumming some acoustic cowboy songs to playing guitar with a full band, drums, bass, pianos, brass, anything!

Today we are going to answer the best question you probably never asked, Tenthumbs, how do I play with a band? The reason you probably never asked this question is because you probably never realized how many different variables and other things would be involved. When I first made the jump to playing with a band from playing alone I was totally lost! This are some tips I wish someone would have told me from the very beginning! We will walk you through what the bass and drums roles are, and that will help you understand your role, which is vital, and then we will walk you through 5 ways to complete that role.
