Hi Vincent.

Yes Vincent. Something very special. Spotted Graham Twist's comment - he has it. This is beguiling performance. It's all there. It's like you are there ready to explode it within the next word elation is right. The picture I have is like the sprinter who is getting ready for a win. The next race - and you make it. The race 'grabs' you - and then it's yours. As a 'spectator' I watch / listen knowing you'll have it. You'll celebrate....that's the emotion bit. That's the wow. Trevor.

Wow, Vincent! I have heard and watched many, many performances of this masterpiece by Vierne - and quite a few by some very eminent organists - but this upload of you playing 'Final' is now my most favourite of them all! It is certainly a tour de force for any organist. Many play it with technical brilliance - as you do - but it is easy to just deliver the right notes but without any emotion! For this 'Final' from Symphony No. 1 to make the maximum impact, you need to sense the exuberance and elation in the music - and this is all down to the performer communicating that such a connection has been made with the music. You clearly enjoy every single second you are playing this piece, and that is what makes this performance so stunning. The sample set of the 1885 Cavaillé-Coll organ in St. Etienne at Caen is my absolute favourite instrument to play on Hauptwerk and you reveal this organ in all its splendour and glory. Totally awesome, Vincent - what a fabulous treat for us all. B R A V O !
