Former Labor prime minister Paul Keating slams Peter Dutton's nuclear policy.

Mr Keating said that ‘Peter Dutton is a charlatan - an inveterate climate change denialist.'

The former PM didn't stop there, saying that 'Only the most wicked and cynical of individuals would foist such a blight on an earnest community like Australia.'

Confected outrage and hyperbole from Keating. The toad protests too much ! What financial interest is Keating really serving and benefiting from ?

Don't really think your opinion matters much anymore Paul Keating - you might be better off moving to your beloved China - we support Peter Dutton here in Australia now. Labor will be voted out at the next election.

What type of nuclear reactors, how much will it cost, and when will they come online?

They should just rename him Peter “Nutton!!”. Any citizens of a country with nuclear plants, will not only tell you the serious danger in having one but how it’s twice as expensive in both production costs and consumer costs to run one!! Forget the fact Keating was a half wit itstill doesn’t make him wrong in what danger this represents and also the cost it represents to consumers especially in such uncertain already sky high inflated times!! I was pro Dutton for a very long time but, this fool lost me with this. It’s insanity personified and anyone that, had already studied not only the the dangers of nuclear energy but, the great cost involved to all involved, would already draw the same conclusion that this is bad on all fronts.

Deputy Chairman Keating at it again.
One has to wonder what investments in Chinese made windfarms, batteries and solar some may have.

Paul Keating. For those of you who were not around when Paul Keating was the Labor Treasurer and imposed a recession upon Australians which let to interest rates being up over 15%.. Remember him telling us “it was the recession we needed to have”.. Modern Labor are just as reckless with our economy.. Gee.. surprising he is attacking Dutton and the Coalition.. Who’d have thought.. 🤦‍♂️🇦🇺

Peter Dutton doesn’t have an energy policy, every coalition minister is saying something different. Wheres the costing, wheres the training, where will we hold spent fuel rods securely for a 1000 years. Whose going to build the reactors. Whats the cost of generating power. Every publication Ive seen says nuclear energy is the most expensive form of power generation.

If i remember correctly Keating reffered to Australia as the "arse end" of the world gave us "the recession we had to have and interest rates of 18 percent, his smart country initiative gave us some of the most highly educated and indoctrinated unemployed people ever, who were over qualified for the available jobs and resulted in a deficit of tradies. Keating sold out Australia to overseas interests in the name of a level playing field, and this is still the case when it comes to China, I would love to see how many tax payer subsidised renewable energy companies Keating has an investment interest in. When it comes to what is in the best interest of Australia Keating is at best irrelevant and at worst malevolently detrimental.

Paul Keating left Australia with the biggest debt it has ever had, and the media treat him like he still has credibility and relevance. What did he do that gives him credibility? Because I have not found 1 thing he has achieved.
