Remy had the following to say about his choice of recording this song: ’’Radiohead touches me with their songs, sounds and ideas. The music is emotional, layered and a bit raw, but also very accessible. Out of the love for their music, and the song ‘Daydreaming’ that touched me from the very first moment, I started translating the track to the harp. Just like I used to do when I adapted classical music years ago.’’

The additional production on this track was made by producer Richard Veenstra, known as xndr. The two musicians met in Berlin, where they clicked immediately after a spontaneous studio session. The ‘45 REC. Sessions’ is their first project in this collaboration in which we as listeners are a fly on the wall. Both musicians in turn challenge and strengthen each other.

’’Richard and I are natural collaborators. As a producer and sound designer he gives my arrangements more depth and space. Just like me, he likes the more raw sound of the harp, combined with electronics.’’ says Remy about this new collaboration.

For 2020 Remy has planned a club tour with his band, where xndr will join as well. The tour will end with a special night in Amsterdam, where Remy will play a concert with both his band and the Analogue Robot Orchestra.

Hi Remy, really enjoyed this thank you. I am planning to make a Kantele with nylon strings, probably an 11 string model but just wanted to ask if you think it will be possible to play something like Daydreaming on such an instrument, would you recommend more strings to be able to cover the range required for this song. Thank you
