Unfortunately I’ve had 2 faulty ‘Coverbuddy’s’ for my iPad Pro 11”, both had the same problem. One of the Smart Connector pins was misaligned during manufacture, a different pin on each cover. Gone back to a naked iPad now.

I’ve owned two of those cover buddy’s. Sucks trying to access the volume AND the charger hole doesn’t support larger charging cables, the charging port cut out snapped and broke after a few months

This is going to sound silly, but I am supremely grateful for the composition book skin for the keyboard ‘cause I have a case like that for my current iPad and am loathe to upgrade because I didn’t want to lose that aesthetic. 🤣

NOTICE: the Apple iPad case (not magic but the other, lesser expensive one) is very light. This sounds like a great feature at first, but it makes it very prone to falling over backwards and potentially cracking your screen (which costs $500 to repair). Additionally, the two angles that the iPad case allows are non-ideal if you are laying down or sitting directly in front of it. Even though the keyboard is OK, I would strongly recommend getting a heftier case for more protection and possible angles.

I have to ask because the way you made it sound is that the Magic Keyboard comes with a charging cable. Does it? Some of the other videos I have seen haven't shown a charging cable, nor does the box say it comes with one. I was just curious. I like the skins, but most are not Prime accessible (two days) but I guess I can wait a little longer for just the skin. I am getting the keyboard cover for spills, I like that one. I think I will pay a little extra and get the Pitaka magnetic case and the card holder which covers the pencil and keeps in place. A little pricy, but I think is worth it.

Skip the coverbuddy get the pataka MagEz case instead...the access to the volume rocker alone makes it a better product....as it’s annoying af to toggle the volume when docked to the keyboard.

I remember watching other reviewers on the switcheasy case. Apparently the iPad and the keyboard will not close all the way, unless placed upside down.
