On another note, I live in western NC where a lot of sports car enthusiast come to drive. I have an RX8 and have dominated 300hp+ cars such as the 2013 genesis coup. Haven't had the chance at a 350 yet. It could very well depend on driver capability.

But... There's a massive horsepower difference between the two. 70 horses is a lot between cars! I mean, take a factory car and put your basic bolt ons on it I.H.E and maybe a cold air and boost yourself maybe 20more horses (thats just a guess don't count me on actual hp boost from all that) an you'll still notice a difference. Was the RX8 modded? By the way, your Z sounds lovely! Love the growl! Thanks for the video!

Cool race. 350z was haulin. Surprised the RX8 kinda kept up. I like both cars and many more. 350z has my attention at this point. Its 3.5L is FAST!!! with only minor bolt ons, exhaust, and fine computer tuning this car is legendary.

comparing the two technically means if they both had same horsepower the 350z would stand no chance on the mazda period

@xxRonHautDichAuchxx So, there are many on the internet including yourself that think a RX-8 is a match for a 350Z on a roadcourse or may even beat it. The search stats for this video back that up to some extent as well. If the RX-8 was able to hang in there, you would be saying "Oh yeah, the RX-8 handles awesome", or "The 350Z is too heavy". Instead you dismiss the results to a horsepower difference.

20 more hp? more like 70 more hp. rotory has 232 bhp, but 190 rwhp.
I have one. Love it. Amazing on the track, but it's outpowered by a 350z

If the rx8 was a 3.5 liter I'd make the rapie on the Z. Your racing a 1.3 liter car. Most 1.3 liters have 60 HP.
