This is such a welcome down-to-earth approach.
So many nowadays seem to focus on limiters and stuff just... to make it louder.
While in fact, it's about conscious decisions to be made.
To put emphasis on those elements, you as the producer want to make stand out!

The secret to a great production, is a great song.
The secret to a great mixdown, is a great production.
The secret to a great master, is a great mixdown.

Man wish I had this blog back in the day to visual what the first 50 pages of the LBL Forum was talking about. I feel like the first hundred pages of the Forum kept addressing this topic but as a newbie I could never in-vision it. This really gives you a visual on those pages. By the way who the hell is BLVD?

This tutorial is so simple but in my arsenal from now on, wow!

I was watching this, pausing, and going back to some of my tracks and hearing what I need to fix, and keep in mind in the future for my productions. Now that I have a framework to work around.

Thank you so much, Luke!

it's actually funny how usefull this was, I can use limiters, clippers, compressors, fancy stereo enhancers, mid-side dynamic eq 'n shit, but what really makes me sweat is still the balancing. People see it as so self evident that they usually don't make any tutorials on it.

I'm sure you already have Friday's vid already made. But would love to hear about how Kong became a thing on Revealed with Carta, and where it all started. Awesome to see you back on Revealed!

This very helpful. My last mix and master was rubbish. I see you don't use a reference track. Is that because you just rely more on your ears for the sound? Plus more tutorials please and thanks😊

They say Here I Come by Barrington Levy is the first time a dancehall style ‘mixdown’ was used on a record! Can someone explain this to me please 😅🙏🏾

Why do you go for the sharp slope over the rounded one while clipping?
