Harrison Ford

Harrison Ford is one of Hollywood's most successful actors. His career began during the 'New Hollywood' era at the end of the 60s playing small roles in films by George Lucas and Francis Ford Coppola.

He became an overnight sensation after playing Han Solo in George Lucas' STAR WARS (1977), film history's first ever blockbuster. Harrison Ford rocketed to icon status for a whole generation of cinemagoers with his portrayal of the archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (1981) and the franchise's subsequent films.

Harrison Ford will receive the Golden Eye in person on 04.10 at 18:00 at cinema corso. A screening of INDIANA JONES - RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK (1981) will precede the award ceremony.

I really love Harrison. "It's the day's work for me". Great interview, and you know why?. Because it didn't focus on Star wars or Indiana Jones. It's about being a storyteller and how you go about living your life. This is why he's a man I admire to the max. He's humble, but doesn't have to be. He's an actor, but not a diva. He's Hollywood, but not spoiled. No matter what Harrison does, he does it with practicality and logic that every human being "should" be able to relate to. He doesn't do his films for us. He does it for himself, and you've got to admire somebody to be willing to go the extra mile to give himself personal satisfaction in his career, all the while giving the best of himself for the audience and choosing those roles that will cause the emotional response for the audience. Great interview! You get a very good feeling of how Harrison Ford is as a person. Humble, intelligent, pragmatic and a genuinely good, honest and reserved person with a great sense of humor. I have a great amount of appreciation for him. I saw him in public one time, but he wouldn't know it, since I neither shaked his hand, or stood in line for a autograph. But he was very good with everyone around him, as you would expect him to be. A great person!

Great interview. I ended up acting from a similar background. Bambi was my first movie also, with the same impact. Theater group was my first community and I found it was a way to overcome shyness. Love of stories is powerful. This is a very honest and humble interview. Harrison's work is great and he has made excellent choices in life and I'm so glad it worked out well for him. I bow to the hard work and tenacity of Harrison Ford.
