This video is a Zoom presentation given by Collage Artist Betsy Silverman to the Franklin Art Association at their May 5 monthly meeting. Betsy, a Boston-based artist, uses recycled magzines to create stunningly accurate, almost photographically accurate images of a range of subjects, ranging from iconic Boston scenes to portraits to still lifes. She also includes messages and touches of humor to lead viewers to a deeper appreciation of what is portrayed.

Astonishing city scenes. What a surprise when the animals showed up near the end -- I realized she was the same artist whose work I'd admired online! I enjoyed seeing the wonderful details, here. I love her work. She's taken collage someplace new. 💜💚❤️

Amazing work!! I’m in awe. Reminds me of Deborah Shapiro’s work in so many ways.

I was living in Christchurch, New Zealand when a devastating earthquake destroyed pretty much all of the historic centre of the city. Ban designed an interim cathedral for the city, which was opened in 2013 and is still in daily use now, in 2023

Wonderful EYE for your art. Question: what were you so angry at during the presentation?
