I am pleased to share with you Asturias by Issac Albéniz played on this beautiful piano designed by Poul Henningsen in the piano @phfurniturepianos8192 's showroom in Copenhagen.
As I Beginning a collaboration with this luxurious brand, you will see more pieces recorded on this brand of piano in the future 😉

Asturias also called Leyenda describes the sun-drenched land of Andalusia and not the land of Asturias as its title might suggest. Also the choice of this title remains a mystery..

Do you think this piece was written for piano or guitar?
As surprising as it is Isaac Albéniz wrote it for piano. This misunderstanding is due to the fact that he tried to evoke a guitar player and he succeeded so brilliantly that even today it is believed that the original version is the one for guitar.

As a guitar player, I often scoff at the piano interpretations, because it flows so naturally on our instrument, but I wanted to listen to it end to end for once, and you did not disappoint!

I checked the history myself before reading your video description. I suspected the original to have indeed been for piano, because people wouldn't insist on fitting this guitar style on the piano otherwise.

From the technique (which I can only judge from my point of view as a completely different instrumentalist), to the interpretation, and the history in the comments, this deserves a 10/10. I learned too late to appreciate everything surrounding a piece of music, not just the notes, rhythm and flow, but also its history, so I am grateful to see someone paying full respect to the music and sharing it for all to enjoy here!

Beautiful Stephanie! Cont to play from your heart. I know it’s taught non stop to play for the audience. To impress us, the audience. Ignore that advice. Being real means more than being marketable. If you only knew, how many long for the days of freedom to be able to express freely from your heart.
Try to tune us out. Keep going as you are, playing from your soul. Please, please don’t sign a contract that will make you something you aren’t. Appearance…How many can keep up at that pace and what have we lost. Most despise the trap of fame - fame comes at a cost. But not always!!! You are gifted to hear, interrupt and play from you soul. Keep playing with purity and passion. Be lost within the imagination within the score. You actually have a larger audience than you realize. Maybe the world is at your doorstep. As you know the pressure and expectations of performing often drain the musicians of their entire drive and soul. The best of the best poured out their heart’s cry, their raw emotions to God through music. The best music has always been written and performed though a Myriad of emotions.
