I know it's up to debate, but her voice. She has always been my favorite female singer. Not to say favorite female artist. But I always thought she didn't get vocal credit for being an incredible singer. R.I.P. beautiful lady.

She was even better in person than on record.
In the 70s, she was up there with Ronstadt, Aretha, Ross, Minnelli, Summer, Khan, Midler and Streisand.

She could sing her behind off.

😀 OMG, I remember running to my mirror, grabbing my hairbrush, singing along with Natalie on our local radio station ✨ before the Internet, Wow the wonderful memories, this is still one of my favorites so inspiring 🥳

FIRST TO COMMENT!!! This 1978 Special was the absolute greatest moment of my life as a kid. People at school who didn’t understand my adoration of Queen Cole came to school marveling! And the mics matching every ensemble was just another WOW that made me feel like she was from another galaxy! Amazing performance!!!

“It wasn’t until I found the courage to sing the music associated with my father that I found my deepest peace and greatest satisfaction. The fact that even in Dad’s death we have grown closer brings me a beautiful comfort. It makes me think we ascribe too much severity to death. Spirit doesn’t die. Music doesn’t die. And the love that links spirit to music knows nothing about death. That spirit, that music, that love is eternal.” - Natalie Cole

Thank you so much for posting this beautiful, hard to find video. The gems remind me that her spirit is still among us.

I had totally forgotten about this song until I saw this video. Remember hearing on the radio, but didn’t know it was Natalie Cole. Beautiful.

How 70's-tastic is this!? 🤩 And like all the best singers, she does it BETTER live than on the record. They certainly don't make em like this anymore! Unfortunately.
