From my favorite Respighi opera, "La campana sommersa", which premiered in 1927, and appeared briefly at the Metropolitan Opera in 1928.

Attended NYC Opera's opening performance last night and enjoyed it very much - bravo to the cast and production team! So glad the company is back to once again provide us with some rarely performed gems.

That’s beautiful! I’ll bet Beverly Sills would have been great in this role as well!

Sadly, this opera has had very few performances in recent years. This was taken from a concert performance from Montepellier in France, with Laura Aiken in role of Rautendelein. It was issued on the Accord label (a French label). It is very much worth owning. I also have a couple of historic recordings of the opera, but they're not better than the newer one. I look forward to the day where I can see this opera live!

Does anyone know why she promises not to scratch him? Seem odd.

I may do that, but in fact this recording is available, but you may have to pay a bit, and have it shipped from Britain. I found it on the British version of Amazon:

Does anyone know somewhat of the last picture's title, and where it is exposed? Thank you all.
