I agree that MJ was a great storyteller thru his songs. If possible, do react to another little known song called Little Susie/ Pie Jesu....it is based on a true story of a little girl who was murdered, the song is very dark, sad and powerful which truly reflects his storytelling skills.

This is Smooth Criminal before Smooth Criminal. Basically the demo. He totally turned it around though. Love Al Capone but, Smooth criminal sounds less dated or less 80’s sounding to be than this version. But, it’s fire regardless. That beat is amazing!
