The offseason acquisition of Pierre Luc Dubois was seen as one of the biggest coups for the LA Kings, but it isn't working out for them. Worse: Dubois is now actively hurting the Kings.

PLD was always that player who didn't seem to care on the ice. He'll just skate around and then head back to the bench and wait like it's practice. There's no jump, no fight in him as if he's afraid he might suffer a groin strain if he skated too hard.

we love PLD in DC, he is an amazing defender, he and his fiance are having ryan leonard stay at his house until leonard gets settled, funny guy if you see him interact with his teammates, has a good coach!!! i loved the trade for both teams, Darcy was just unlucky and injured last year. would love a LA /wash cup final.

Mason Appleton - 22 points (forever 3rd line, played 1st line for that 1 game lol)

The worst Deal in Kings history. Such a horrible way to thank Kopitar and Doughty for all the years but, sinking their hopes to make another deep playoff run before the wheels come off.

Jets fan; P.L. Dubois had the size, the power & strength, skating ability, terrific passer, good in the face off circle. Some nights he disappeared almost completely, sometimes noticeably, sometimes he came to play and battle. He just didn't seem to be invested and committed 100%, I thought it was the city. I was more than a little bothered he would not re-signa and I believed the Kings got the whole package and he would be the 1AA center for L.A. Well I was sure wrong about that dog.

part of building a winning team is building it with players who WANT to win first, not just get a big bag ( i get ithat they only have so many major earning years but still, pull atom brady and take some off the top )and think about how nice it would be to win one day . The players who will hustle, who respond well to being benched and criticism, who notice their flaws and work to fix them, who buy in to the coaches system, who admit their mistakes, etc.

He's not to blame. He's come as advertised. He'll have 40 points his first season here then score 60-70 the rest of the seasons. I think the problem with the Kings is a confidence issue. I think they got into their own heads.

Vilardi seems like an awesome guy. I didn’t realize until way after that he was 11th overall, plus Winnipeg getting iafallo, a second rounder, and one more 4th line player. What a steal. PLB is prob one of the most self-centred players in history. No drive, no will to win, especially after the payday. Go figure he’s from Quebec!

I was absolutely shocked when the Kings traded what they did for PLD. The guys a cancer. What will probably be even more shocking is when they eventually trade him to another team willing to give up a lot for this deadbeat.
