Why don't you use a stencil? Is this how USB headers are soldered? Separately, when you order SMT from JLCPCB, they also charge extra for USB headers.

By the way, single row Type-C is simple, but two row SMD... Always choose TH+SMD.

That usb connector will get ripped off after repeated use, I would put a frame on it anchored to the board.

Does the soldering iron remain static or does it have to be moved?

Lessons for me were that having a via very close to a plane can mess things up and the lack of soldermask if the manufacturer thinks it would not be possible to apply between the pads.

Hand reflowing these closely separated pads are not safe, sometimes we’ll get short connections.(From my experiences)😢

Do it right dude, that is not what that is for lol I really hope alot of new comers dont shee this rip off work, i feel bad for the customer, the port will not hold and will break off super easy when not using real solder. I now you want the easy way out but this is not it.
