A romantic man proved how much he lavas his girlfriend by proposing to her on the rim of an active volcano.

Teachers and travel vloggers Jarod Henderson and Alison Prentice, from Ottawa, Canada, were hiking the Mount Bromo volcano in Indonesia on February 6.

After they trekked across the black soil in front of the volcano, the couple climbed over an almost Martian landscape up the 2000-metre-tall mountain.

As they were walking on the high crater rim before patches of barren soil and a column of smoke, Jarod surprised his girlfriend by giving her a once-in-a-life-time experience.
