The main event in the program of festive events during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Battle of Stalingrad on February 1 and 2, 2023 in Volgograd was the video installation of the historical and patriotic project "Memory Bridge", which combines Mamayev Kurgan, Volgograd-1 station and houses into one large canvas on the Alley of Heroes.
On each facade, Volgograd residents and guests of the city saw a projection of flying cranes, and on the corner facades a chronicle of battles.
At the end of the holiday on February 2, 2023 at 20.45 on the lower terrace of the Central Embankment of Volgograd, an audiovisual “Minute of Silence” was staged, then a pyrotechnic piece of music was shown, and after that, fireworks and fireworks.
Yuri Bashmet, three times People's Artist of the USSR, became the artistic director of the Bridge of Memory project, which was seen in Volgograd on February 1 and 2, 2023.
