If you known / heard about Turkish music from the late 1960's with "Anadolu-Pop" style, maybe Turkish Psychedelic-Folk-Rock from the 1970's scene, or maybe you know Turkish Disco-Folk by the 1980's Turkey..
Ersen & Dadaşlar; you probably know his famous psychedelic-folk songs from 1970's as Kara Yazı, Üç Kız Bir Ana, Garip Gönlüm (featured Mogollar & Kardaşlar & Dadaşlar even Zafer Dilek) and many more...
When rock music over and Arabesque & Tavern sounds became instead of group music, a lot of musicians & bands disbanded, some of them already went to abroad, late 1970's in Turkey.
The rest musicians (except few famous singers/musicians) were changed to their sounds to dramatic Arabesque music.
The country was in turmoil and the environment was being prepared for a military coup!
In this time Ersen reformed his old band with the old-new members and tried to remake group music.
Here unreleased 3 classic Ersen's songs.
Rearranged with jazzy sound that I can see why this demo songs are so well absolutely great musicians and the sound where Ersen's folk tunes meeting with Dadaşlar's rock jazz rhythms!
As a singer Ersen (Ersen Dinleten) has one of the most unique softly spoken vocal deliveries on the Anatolian Rock scene and as a composer his use of long heavy rhythmical passages punctuated by his signature 'panting' vocalisations and throbbing basslines are unmistakable.
If any singular exponent of the powerful Turkish Anadolu-Pop (Anatolian Folk or Anatolian Rock) scene could be described as eclectic, it could be Ersen.
His image in Turkey has teetered on the edge of versatile over his 50 year career and his versatile talents as a vocalist, lyricist and composer have served as a refreshing alternative to his contemporaries in one of the most progressive musical cultures in the history of Turkish folk music.
