OUTFITS OF THE WEEK | 10 piece spring work wear capsule wardrobe | shopping my closet

Hello Beauties, I know I'm a little late to the whole spring style thing, but we basically JUST got spring in Toronto by the time this video was filmed, so I'm rolling with it. Next week, I will probably have to shift my entire wardrobe for early summer (or full blown summer) lol, but the layering is all definitely for work A/C. I'm actively trying to shop my closet to get use out of my clothing and to get a better sense of my own personal style, and what I truly love to wear. I tried making a full blown 40+ piece #capsulewardrobe before, but turned out to be a little too daunting for me, so I think the approach of creating Mini Capsule Wardrobes each week is a little more doable. I think it will help me get use out of my clothes, and rotate items regularly to see if I enjoy them or not.

I decided to plan some Outfits of the Week for work (dress code: business casual) using a mix of pieces I WANTED to wear vs. pieces I KNEW I wore all the time. It was a really helpful exercise in really checking out what I have, experimenting with mixing and matching the clothes I chose for the week as a mini-challenge, seeing how I feel in the pieces, and also a good exercise in avoiding stains 🤗

I love your remark that you're trying to wear one tried and true item with something you rarely wear. Great way to push your comfort zone a little and introduce items you want to wear but don't reach for. I will definitely use this technique! I'd love to see more videos on weekly wardrobe planning like this.

You got me on the moto jacket train. I was always a jean jacket person, but last winter I grew tired of it. I ran into a never ending "problem" of wearing a jean jacket with my jeans and not liking the look. Sooo I finally got a faux leather moto jacket that wasn't too in your face and I LOVE IT. It's exactly what I needed in my wardrobe.

Now I’ve tried a 10x10 myself, I have so much respect for anyone who can do a capsule wardrobe of any kind or duration. I lasted four days. “Why can’t I wear my blue shirt? Damn it, I want to wear my blue shirt!” Apparently I have issues. :)

I've also just bought a pre - loved vintage trench, so glad I'm not the only one! I'm with you too on dresses and skirts, shorts ( have to be so hot like holiday) and my favourite colour has been all black for decades! Trench is same colour as yours and ...just Braves it and bought fawn trouser for work ;-)
