I got a fancy glass jar and am using it for my "master blush." Any powder that looks a bit meh oh me, like the wrong shade, setting powder with too much glitter, blush is a little not my shade or keeps getting that hard film on it, ive almost hit pan and the pieces wont stick to the pan anymore, blush broke etc. gets crushed up and mixed into the jar. The face powder tones everything down and the blushes mix to make a pretty shade of pink. I love the ever changing shades it is and it makes me feel less wasteful. Its literally my everyday sunkissed glow product

If you have a lipstick you don't like, melt some of it with vaseline and put it in a pot to make your own personalized lip balm! You can use more or less lipstick depending on how much pigment you want ❤

This is not really about actual makeup products, but when I buy home delivery pizza and there is a little plastic thing to avoid the cardboard "ceiling" collapsing - it looks like a little 3-legged stool - I wash it and then use it as a holder (with the "legs" upwards) for my beauty sponge 👍🏻

Idek if this counts, but I reuse mascara wands after the mascara itself is finished off. Ofc I wash them first and everything but their great to use to comb out clumpy mascara or just feathering your lashes

If I get powder blushes that are too light for my complexion, I mix bits with a liquid highlighter to give it a more pink shine or if I have any lighter coloured products of anything, I just take Mac liquid paint pots and mix the colour in to get colourful graphic liner

Great advice! Make makeup work for you! A metal pallet and spatula are great for mixing and scooping out product to experiment with.

If you have eyeshadow that is poor quality you can mix it with eye primer and make a cream shadow.

I use products that don’t last specifically for “tester” looks. When I’m experimenting with eyeshadow looks and need my face done to complete the look, I use the complexion products that feel weird, don’t last, or make me break out if I wear too long. It’s only for 30-60 minutes, and I get to both use stuff I don’t love so it doesn’t go to waste. Plus I can save the things I do love for when it’s actually worth it! If you have kids who like to play dress-up or anyone learning makeup, those are also great opportunities to use up products.

Love this video! My alternative uses: eyeshadow in pink, lavender, mauve, red etc as blush. Liquid brow liners (such as the NYX one) as eyeliner - much subtler and natural than regular black or brown liquid liner for those no makeup makeup days. My tips are with products I love though 😂 I just love finding alternative uses for products I already love. More: for my fair skin certain shadows work way better for contour than real contour shades. Taupe liners (similar to the Laura Mercier caviar sticks) for nose contour. Fixing mist UNDER makeup. Fixing mist under the eyes for no creasing. Silicone eye primers on the undereye instead of for the lid for line-free eyes (must use very little!). Eyeshadow as brow powder. .... Thanks soph. Some helpful new ones and some I definitely agree with! Also, use setting powder to set your eyelids / as a pale matte when your palette doesn't have one. Also try using it just not in your t zone and use your favorite in your t zone. The rest of our face will probably be fine with it and it'll make your fave last longer. And use powder foundation to sharpen your cheek or nose contour or to tidy an eye look where you've gone too messy / taken your shadow up too high 😊

I got a reddish brown lip pencil that I use as a winged eyeliner almost eveyday. It will not move until I take it off, the color is nice to blue/greyish eyes and it’s a little more subtle than black liner 🥰
