How to set up Python in IntelliJ

Hello everyone, I made this video because in preparation for my next class I needed to be able to start coding with Python. The last few classes I have been using Java and I have been using IntelliJ as my IDE. I wanted to be able to keep the same IDE and they have a Python plug in for IntelliJ. This video is cover how to get the plug in and set up a very simple Python project inside of IntelliJ. How you all enjoy.

As a vs code user, seeing this video I now understand how the plugin works and it makes me think that this set up is usually better for someone who already knows how to set up Python, virtual environments, dependencies, and env variables all from the terminal. I can now see that it performs all of these things for you if you know how to set it up, and it's a real convenience, but if beginners try to use this plugin without knowing how it works under the hood, there will be struggles if they ever try to set up a project from the terminal instead. Just my thoughts.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Stupid Intellij has been driving me nuts for a few days now. I'm going back through a Udemy Python course I bought awhile back, and of course the IDE is newer than the one at time of production for my course. Finally, I can go to bed and not be so pissed off anymore with my computer. Goodnight.

import any library also please. I added "import numpy" or add any other library at the stop and it get underlined red, message says module not found.

i think it is a terrible idea to name your video "How to set up Python in IntelliJ" if you have no idea what you're doing. Consider putting some kind of warning there to let people know so they don't have to watch through half of your video to find out you're basically just guessing what to do.
