6/16 Update - I picked a winner for a nugget handheld, but I bought an extra one and I'll pick another person that participated when I get a chance next week. I am now making my way through all of the people that won a skin.

The issue with the broken one is that the LCD and the PCB are misaligned, which causes it to display the wrong pixels in the lower half of the display.
These are connected by a rubber pad with conductive strips in it, if aligned correctly this connects the contact points in the LCD.
This is seen in the TETRIS GAME startup too, the blurring between some pixels ingame is due to some of the strips connecting multiple pixels together.
You can fix it by shifting the screen up or down a little, by experimenting and seeing what position fixes it.
It can be the case that some cut of these parts is inaccurate, in which case the case (heh) might not accommodate the electrically correct position, so you'd have to modify it if that is the case.
Either way, it is fixable, I've brought back one or two similarly built handhelds from similar display issues.

6:54 - Yes, Tetris is supposed to work like that. Every modern Tetris game has some degree of delay when you place a block down so you can move it, that's how pros are able to play versions like TGM where the blocks basically drop instantly.

This nugget handheld compliments the KFConsole.

Yet another AAA game rushed to market. Just have to wait for the patch bro.

You should definitely use this shell to make a crazy retro pie console. That would be awesome.

The chip-covered-in-a-blob is usually a cost saving measure, you buy just the pure silicon without the external plastic packaging and dispense a blob of epoxy on top. In high volume productions, especially highly cost sensitive ones, this is fairly common - so happy meal toys are a prime candidate for it. Open a calculator or TV remote and you're likely to see similar

If only more countries would do this, pretty cool collectible! I would love it for sure

Never thought I'd see McDonalds make something like this again haha. I still have a couple of these happy meal consoles from when I was a kid. I'd love to add this to my collection!

Holy CRAP what a literal nugget. I’m so excited about this little thing for no reason lol and I guess the screen issue was just a bug with the display? What a win. Lol love the super nugget I’d love a skin my friend!! Those are sick!

I honestly wished that this could have been available in more countries.

Depending on how rare buggy unit is, that might make the value even higher 😂

I remember playing the many variations of these "Brick Games", super cheap handheld LCD game that is WAY common in the 90s and quite popular in the rest of Southeast Asia.

Pretty much a very inexpensive answer to the original Gameboy. It wasn't until I saw one of my classmates playing an original black and white Gameboy and a Gameboy Color, blew my mind back in 2002.

The first Chicken McNugget definitely seemed defective from the slant in the TETRIS title on the screen. I got one of these at a game convention called RetroGameCon a few weeks ago, and it plays like normal Tetris. I'd suspect a very small amount of these may not work properly out of the gate.

It's a fun novelty that I bought after realizing it was an officially licensed Tetris product. Only other McDonald's LCD games I own are the ones made for Sonic the Hedgehog back in the early 2000s.

This is soooo good, down to the packaging of a nugget box. Pure gold.

This is incredibly ergonomic! Normally I need extra grips for long play, but with the comftorable design of this one I'd never even need them!

It reminds me of the LCD screen games McDonald's did a long time ago. I used to habe the bowling one. And I played it endlessly
