One of the most underrated channel/videos ever. You make me feel less guilty of taking time for myself from studying and work. I really admire your strength to do whatever is best for you and putting aside all the pressure of finishing a PhD. Also, I was very sad when you said that you hope people won’t have a different opinion of you, just because you switched options. Every person I have seen who quit their PhD ended up being a loser in every aspect. This is because they quit. For those thinking about quitting, don't. Sure, a PhD is challenging, but you know what's more challenging? Having a career with a strong income stream. The projects I work on now (in industry) are much more difficult than completing my PhD and the associated papers I published. People who quit their PhDs often sound like this guy: full of excuses, pretending that they didn't have the passion, telling people they didn't want the PhD behind their name. It's all rubbish, they do not believe it themselves because they will always regret quitting. Having "PhD" behind your name brings you respect, more job opportunities and higher income if you want it.
