Just ordered mine—should be here in a few week. I’m excited. Love your videos—very informative. You’ve gained a new subscriber👍

The phantom breaking happens when you pass under a bridge or over an expressway because the GPS reads the different roads and signs causing the car to suddenly brake. I had this happen several times and I researched why.

Really complete review of the Y. Enjoying mine without all the new changes. They don't matter at all because this is still the best car available at any price. ANY PRICE!

Luv this guys videos. He always give it to you straight wether good or bad. I was sea-sawing between a Model Y and Mach e. I use to own an 88 Mustang GT so the choice wasn’t easy but ultimately went with the Model Y basically because of the brand cache, super charger network and the better screen interface. 👍🏽. 10 week estimated delivery! 🚙

As I am waiting for my Model Y to arrive and still hesitating on red vs white, I have to admit this was one of the best review video I have seen around (and I have watched many!).
Thank you for the very detailed feedback!

One question: do you still like the red after all this time? Getting tired of it?

Ryan Shaw upgrades his suspension from something sporty that hugs to the road to something even MORE sporty that hugs the road even MORE and makes even MORE road noise. Way to go!

For all those times you need to go 155 instead of 135 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hey Ryan, wanted to start off by saying that your videos are extremely entertaining and want to thank you for your insightful information. Just want to leave my two cents on the Model Y for anyone who wants an opinion from someone who had an insanely negative experience from the car. I took delivery of my LR with 19 inch geminis on November 27th. My VIN is MF07xxx but I DO NOT have any of the new additions (autodimming mirrors, new steering wheel usb, etc...) I am a car guy, I have owned and driven both Japanese and German. My Model Y has so many issues (trim noise, road chatter, liftgate buzz, headrest buzz, wheel well snapping noises, taillight condensation, black out screen) that makes the Model Y virtual undriveable. This car was horribly designed, they should have reegineered the vehicle from the ground up instead of sharing the blueprints with the Model 3. The vehicle is an echo chamber that amplifies any sound that occurs inside. The smallest road bump sends SHOCKWAVES through the trunk and the rear seats. All of my passengers have asked me "why is this car so loud and bumpy?". The problem isn't the suspension (many sporty crossovers have tight springs). It's the fact that the vehicle is poorly designed. The rear seats and trunk area virtual have no sound dampening material that makes road noise sound like BB gun shots everytime you drive over uneven pavement. You'll find $20, 000 cars that drive better than this. Moving onto technology, Tesla's LTE connectivity constantly drops out and the Spotify application only works 7/10 times. 20% of tracks skip like crazy, and some songs don't even play, even though they are listed in the playlist. For those that have a Tesla, check out the track - Now We Sleep by Artificial Language to see what I'm talking about. Now onto the battery. Listed range is 525 km (I'm Canadian), but seriously expect half the actual range provided. I'm literally charging every other night when a tank of gas used to last me a week. I've contacted my local service center and now am on my 4th appointment whilst all problems persist. I just want to enjoy this damn car but can't help but feel robbed by Tesla of $80, 000 (Canadian). I've also escalated all of my concerns via an email to Tesla. If anyone has any advice for me in regards to the issues I'm experiencing please, I am begging for solutions at this point. This car is ridiculously expensive and at this time I am fully regretting the purchase of the Model Y.

Your presentation is among the best... clear, factual, and without wasting the viewer's time. Well done!

What a great video, thank you! Still a year away from potentially ordering a model y but still deciding on this vs. a conventional gas vehicle.

I have to say thank you for the videos, they helped me pass the two weeks between ordering and delivery. We took delivery of our first Tesla, a Model Y, on 12/29. To keep this brief....we LOVE IT! However, the phantom breaking issue is real. I don't care if it is just seeing shadows on the road, it's a problem. I am very aware of it now, and kind of expect it to happen. I am very worried that the issue will get me rear ended at some point.

A day after taking delivery, we decided to take a trip to Titusville for a week. With charging, this is about an 18-19 hour drive each way. I experienced the phantom breaking issue at least a dozen times over the duration of the trip.

Your video just reassured me on my decision to wait on getting a Model Y. I’ll wait maybe 5 more years. A lot of quality control issues that need to be addressed seems to be a problem Tesla has always had. Thx for this video!

I’ve watched a lot of these videos on the Y and this is by far the best. Great job

In my area, electricity is 6.7 cents per kWh, so it's actually significantly more economical to get a Tesla over gas, but at the same time not nearly as economical to get solar panels for our house. Will probably get solar panels eventually, but going to get a Tesla first. A full charge is more like $5 than $12.
