Good job! ...(retired MS RD LDN, here). Break the myths. Real science. Yeah! What about A2 milk protein produced by Jersey and Guernsey traditional dairy cows, contrasted with today's A1 protein predominating dairy industry fluid

Thank you for linking the articles in your video. Very interesting, I do wish they identified the dairy products studied such as grass-fed, organic, non organic, etc. it would be interesting if they compared those factors in future studies. Thank you again, I love that you are always giving us the most up to date information 😊

What I heard was that these aren’t actually myths or lies, there was a lot of BUT if you’re allergic or sensitive it’s true.. so what I took away was to know your body and what it is allergic or sensitive to.

Frankly speaking, I no longer consume milk, yet the rest of the dairy products are part of my nutrition. For a long time, I used to consume lower fat versions not when it comes to cheese, I LOVE cheese be it feta (I'm Greek) or any other cheese, maybe not goat's cheese (I haven't really tried those to be fair); I don't appreciate blue cheese at all. When it comes to yoghurt, I swapped from 2% strained cow milk yoghurt to full fat sheep milk yoghurt (not strained) and I never felt bloated, it also was beneficial towards my digestion. Last but not least, when it comes to whey protein supplements, even though I am not lactose intolerant I always opted for isolate over concentrate ones; the concentrate ones just feel wrong to me so many flavors don't even make sense and I just don't wish to know how much process is required to achieve some flavors or the amount of sweeteners added in both be it concentrate or isolate. I've come across research that the protein in dairy products is also better absorbed from the body when the dairy is full fat than low fat. As far as grass-fed, organic, I can't say I am that familiar; there isn't much in the stores here in Greece. Perhaps, it's better quality, nevertheless the higher price on the product doesn't persuade me enough to opt for it. As for weight management, portion control is the key in everything, and I am a fan of a balanced approach towards nutrition. Thanks.

this video is so important, thank you so much for making it, even though I know the no-dairy evangelists will go crazy in the comments. I switched to full-fat dairy for most things a few years ago (I still use 2% in my tea because I prefer the taste), after learning about it from a friend of mine, who is also qualified to give me the advice. Full-fat dairy also isn't processed in the sense that yes it's not a direct hose from the cow, but it hasn't gone through a huge process that makes in unrecognizable. Things like reduced-fat or fat-free yogurt, isn't even real food, and has none of the benefits the yogurt originally had. Plus the texture is *nasty* in my opinion.
One thing I'll add (which may be in the video, but I paused at 5:22 to make this comment, so forgive me if it is), is the importance of getting your dairy of whatever sort, from the best source you can reasonably afford. If you look at the ingredients list of any kind of dairy, you will see that the ingredients (depending on where you live) can run the gamut from full of chemical names, all the way to nothing but milk/cream and enzymes (depending on what it is). If it means you can only afford a tub of quality yogurt a week, that's great, you're still getting benefits you didn't get before. 😊 Maybe you can even save money by making the yogurt yourself. 😊

I believe you forgot to mention the difference between A1 & A2 proteins. This can make a huge difference when it comes to allergies and inflammation. The Lactose isnt the issue, its the Holstein cow that they use for dairy products which is the main driver to all the issues you mentioned.

I'm a fat-adapted carnivore who is fortunate to live on a dairy. Hence, I have access to grass-fed A2 raw milk, raw cream, raw butter, etc. Yum.

Makes me excited to homestead even more. I don’t really like milk but I love cheese and fermented milk products.

Ha ! When my kids switched to ordinary milk I chose full fat milk because of the vitamins that disappear in semi skimmed . None of them ever got overweight . It was just mother's instinct that told me to avoid giving in to fads ...all the other mums I knew said my kids were going to get really fat ....well they are adults and never had any eating problems . Always good cheese at home, we are French so cheese is important, full fat cheese, but tiny portions of course .But one thing that most French don't do is drink glasses of milk when they are adults .Milk is for young kids in our country

what about estrogen dominance, breast cancer and the hormones added to milk?

That was a really helpful video! With Hashimoto’s I have been advised to avoid dairy because of said inflammation and switched to coconut milk, but I will still have (plain, grass-fed) Greek yogurt as well as cheese. Because- how else am I going to get my calcium? I had previously heard that fermented dairy products would be better but I learnt from you why :-)

3:35.... that makes sense now! Seems like why I can't drink milk or eat ice cream, but I can eat yogurt and cheese no problem 🤷🏽‍♀️

Thank you for this video Autumn. Very informative. I eat dairy and have no problem but I was a bit concerned about the heart part from what I hear with other sources. (I’m 64) I’ve been following you and your IF plan for a year now. I feel great!! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us all!
