Professora Beah, You're style of teaching is a million times better than learning from a Grammar Book of confusing rules which KILLS the interest and motivation to learn or ONE to BECOME BORED even when one is dedicated LOSING THE INTEREST. But You came to the RESCUE by the way you PRESENT Brazilian Portuguese with Your English Narrations which is the BEST SUREST WAY to learn for all - the Real World Day To Day Brazilian conversational style. MUITO OBRIGADO!!! Warm Hugs to You.

Hi Bea! Two questions for you... :)

A, Is it correct to use noutro & doutro AND/OR n'outro & d'outro? Examples:

Ele é d'outro/doutro mundo = Ele é do outro mundo (He is from THE other world)

Ele está n'outro/noutro mundo = Ele está no outro mundo (He is in THE other world)

B, The little town in Bahia, named Arraial d'Ajuda, is it an abbreviation of Arraial de a Ajuda = Arraial da Ajuda = Arraial d'Ajuda?

Thanks

Maybe I missed something or I'm just slow, but this preposition doesn't seem to translate in English. Take "Eu gosto de pão" for instance. When translated, it's "I like to/from bread". What am I missing here?

Why is it: "Eu gosto DE café." instead of "Eu gosto café." ? You like the coffee as a whole, not a part of the coffee. Why is "de" necessary here?
