I just did this on my 2013 with an aftermarket Ebay seat cover. The attaching points to the blue clips are done differently, with plastic tubing which still attaches but allows the cover to "slide" fore and aft into a settled position once installed. Also the perimeter attaching stripping is different than OE but holds very securely and the cover looks and is tight. Overall It looks excellent. If you really really look close, the stitching holes are a smite wider on the Ebay cover I purchased. Aside from that it looks stellar and at 146 US is less than half the price of OE ( about 390 If I recall), and at least in the US it was available in a few days. The plug for the seat heater is very hard to unclasp and I had to use a small screwdriver to eventually free it up. Also on my car I have a light that illuminates the rear passenger footwell. Just sort of goes in there wedged between the seat cushion and the rear seat rail. Tricky to figure out. Taking the seat heater out on mine involved the dislodging of some adhesive from the felt which has to be done super carefully or you risk breaking the fine wires there. Thankfully for me all still works fine and was able to secure the plastic routing clips to the metal frame. Thank so much for this video. TBH I would not have done this job without your video. My US spec 2013 E350 was slightly different than your car. Once your committed to this job, you have to finish it as you know. There is no turning back after the cover is removed. Thanks again for your videos.

I've done this kind of job on three previous cars I own, a Honda S2K and a Subaru Outback. This one was orders of magnitude more difficult than either of them. Without this video I would have been dead in the water! Thanks so much MB212 for putting this together!

OMG! I just did it by my self on my 2013 E350 . This is the hardest thing i ever done in my life (50 years) time. I will never ever will do it again. Its very hard to unclip heater wires. Then when i was installing pulling on new leather cover seat, i gave up like 100 times, because its hard. But somehow i finished and complete it whole seat repair.

This is a great tutorial and extremely informative. Two additional possible tips. First, once you get the seat cover on, perhaps let it sit in the sun for a little while to make it more pliable before 2: make sure the impressions of the wires of the metal base match as closely as possible to the impressions in the cushion 'foam' when you pull the new death cover tight. Believe me, you will be soooo much happier.

It's not as easy as it looks, but it is exactly as shows. Pay attention to the order of things going back, especially starting with attaching the front of the cover first. Push until the plastic clips click into place. Also watch the routing of the under seat wires so they go back in the same place. I have a compartment in front of my seat (2010 E350 Sport Premium P02 with AMG options) and that took 2 screws to get out.

My friend you made this look so easy, hahahahah but thank you . Because if you I had the courage to do my own seat cover. Took me 4 hours... the hardest part was fighting the cover clips when rei staling around frame

Just did this on my 14 e350 and almost quit several times throughout the way. The covers are cut to fit and do not have much room for slack; so it was VERY difficult to clip in. For tip: let the cover bake outside in the sun to let the leather expand a bit. And before putting it on the cushion, make sure all the edges are folded in position. It will make it much easier than trying to flip once you get it on. Another note - the heater plug is very hard to put back in. Wear some gloves for grip, get yourself in a good position and push it in as hard as you can.

The build on this car is absolute crap. I’m convinced I want to trade it in now

Excellent job, great and very informative video! Thanks so much for sharing your skills. Still, I think it's a real shame that Mercedes-Benz seat covers are so prone to crack and tear. This "Artico" faux-leather really can't withstand the test of time. It's a very well known issue, and many Mercedes cars suffer from this "disease". The W212/S212 E-Classes seem to be particularly likely to fail in this department. A good advice to those who are looking for a Mercedes : look for one that has the optional Nappa leather. Mine has it, and it's aging amazingly well. Plus, the look and feel is on another level!

Excellent upload. You made it look very easy, and I know it isn’t. Especially clipping the new cover to the seat frame. Well done 👍

Hi.
Thank you for the video. Is there a difference between the left and right seats? I want to swap the leather from left to right.
Thanks.

Thank you very much for this video because I need to do the same recovery. This video will survive me from wasting time to find the exact location for taking apart the seat cover. Thanks again.
