In a cold, dark and alien world, not a single soul to give him time or answers,
Lights of towering buildings, the nightlife sprung,
Echoes of lingering screams played in his memories,
Shrouded in the haunting pain, his heart bled emotionally.

Followed aimlessly, as if in a trance,
In his life, were there any guarantees?
Reminding himself of all the agonizing sacrifices,
Embers danced and crackled, and he just sat in silence for now.
