Watch Ben Trash Oscar Winners

The Oscars were Sunday night, and the ratings have never been lower. The thing about these films winning awards is no one is watching those same films in 5 years. Why? Because these movies suck.

Watching Ben talk about movies is the truest reminder that he is and forever will be a failed screenwriter

The story of Bens knowledge should be called “Nothing, Nowhere, Not At All”.

“I disliked this movie that people like, so that means they’re only pretending to like it because I am never wrong”🤓

This just goes to show you, Ben doesn't always know what he's talking about.

For once we get Everything Everywhere All At Once, a well written movie with consistent characters (unlike recent Hollywood movies), a very strong anti-nihilism and pro family message, an incredibly deep, funny and entertaining script and which is also impeccably acted.

But Ben hates it, just like most of the good movies that have come out in the past few years, because he is an ultra surface level reviewer who doesn't take more than a few seconds to think about the movie.

Even the super critical and anti woke reviewers like Mauler, Critical Drinker etc. who find a plot hole or woke subtext in EVERY movie, had absolutely no problem with this one.

Ben, you're way out of the loop on this one, because EEAAO is very popular and widely praised, among both the left and the right, not because it is woke or conservative, but because it is actually a good movie.

I wouldn't miss your reviews if they stopped coming because they're all super obnoxious.
I'd recommend you watch at least one episode of EFaP, because they're actually good at making anti woke, ultra critical and ultra factual reviews.

Also, just because there is one gay character in a movie, or the entire cast in mostly Asian, does not make it woke or progressive. This is the false equivalency fallacy.
A woman beating up a man in a movie is usually unrealistic, but that does not mean that in every single instance it is unrealistic. Apply nuance.

I'm so glad even Ben's audience is giving him crap over his garbage take on EEAAO. I've already re-watched the movie 5 times over and it gets even better each time.

I kinda feel sorry for Ben. He really needs a Waymond in his life.

Trusting Ben Shapiro’s opinions on art is like trusting a lion not to eat you. It’s generally a bad idea.

I wonder if Ben's brain just shuts off when he sees something something slightly left-leaning in a movie. How can anyone watch Parasite and think the message of the movie was "killing rich people good"

Video should be titled "Watch failed screenwriter embarrass himself again"

I feel like ben only hates Hollywood because they hated all his scripts.

And looking at his movie tastes no wonder 😂😂

The daughter being gay was not the focus point; it was the mom’s reservation towards anything that didn’t go her way, silly Ben.

EEAO was a unique movie and I'm glad the cast and crew got recognition

One thing Ben is constantly wrong about is cinema, but hey, you can't be smart about everything

Let's say, hypothetically speaking, that I've rewatched Parasite 4 times because the oscars do nominate good movies occasionally, and also movies should not be judged based off how much they get rewatched.

Edit: Also I would rather rewatch any of these best picture films than rewatch Run Hide Fight or ESPECIALLY Terror on the Prairie, I respect you guys making movies but c'mon, make some good stuff at least, before you trash on other good movies

I feel like Ben has gone from critiquing things in pop culture to just trashing/hating anything and everything that is released it’s kind of pathetic

Ben's argument is that the best picture should be for the most famous movie. That's just dumb

Ben, people were not obligated to like “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. Same goes for “Slumdog Millionaire”. They were incredibly successful at the box-office. Especially, for small-budget films.

I do rewatch Parasite, Birdman, The Artist, and I don't know if I will rewatch EEAAO but seeing it in conjunction with past winners, EEAAO is a film wholly in its own lane. I have my criticisms of it for sure, but I did enjoy it overall. I think it will be talked about for years to come because of its editing and writing on a script level. Like it or hate it, the film is an amazing feat of writing and editing. As a filmmaker, I was in awe because I knew this idea had to make sense on the page, and the editing had to maintain that high energy alongside clarity. The fact the film didn't crumple under its own concept is amazing and has earned my respect. Compared to the past winners, I think the film marks a shift in the film landscape. I know it sounds like I'm gushing, but I do enjoy it despite my gripes with it

Ben proves once again that him failing as a screen write was not in fact a fluke.
