Key Stories of Forests and Climate: A Path to Sustainable Territorial Development in Colombia

The Andean-Amazon Piedmont is home to some of the Andes’ greatest concentrations of biodiversity, as well as enormous cultural riches, water systems, and landscapes. But the region is threatened by deforestation and environmental degradation from large scale cattle farming, hydrocarbon production, illegal crops, and alluvial mining.

To counter these threats, WWF and our partners have developed a widely adaptable model for the inclusion of climate change guidelines into land-use regulation and planning.
