Disneyland Castle doesn’t belong on this list of world castles. It is strictly for entertainment purposes.

Most "Top whatever" lists end up highlighting the media creator's preferences, so I have no issues with the buildings described. Except for one: ignoring famous places such as the Alhambra, Versailles or Malbork to include Disneyland's castle is beyond me. If we're to include fantasy buildings, then why not CGI places like Hogwarts or Winterfell?

The Potala-Palace in Lhasa, Malbork Castle in Poland, The Cremlin in Moscow and the Acropolis in Athens are missing on this list.

No criticism of the list or the video, but the term castle can be vague, and I'm a little picky. To me a castle is a fortified structure built prior to the use of gunpowder for the purpose of providing a defendable position whereby troops can retire awaiting reinforcements during sieges. In particular ones used by a presiding noble or landowner.
15 - Neuschwanstein Castle - 19thC private palace built in the style of an imagined castle
14 - Castillo San Felipe del Morro - fortress and citadel built in the 16thC and designed specifically for use of and defence against cannons
13 - Amber Fort - built in late16thC the original intention was for it to be used as a castle. It was soon remodified and extended to become a fort designed for housing troops with only minimal defence elements.
12 - Alcázar of Segovia - the core of this is a castle built in the 13thC.
11 - Edinburgh Castle - castle started in the 11thC with building and rebuilding going on to the 18thC
10 - Himeji Castle - castle built 14C through 17thC
9 - Krak des Chevaliers - 12thC castle
8 - Kalmar Castle - castle built in 13thC and improved 15thC
7 - Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes - 14thC castle
6 - Forbidden City - built in the 15thC as an impressive palace structure rather than a serious fortification

Admittingly, I was surprised that "Sleeping Beauty's Castle" was on this list, but I am quite glad that it is. Some might argue that this iconic castle located in the first Disney Park ever built shouldn't be on this list for one reason or another, but the reality is that "Sleeping Beauty's Castle" is exactly that, a castle! The reason for its construction is irrelevant similarly to many of the other castles presented in this video as they were also built for various unique and commonplace reasons. Many, as well, not retaining the same principal function throughout their existence, but instead often times the function of the castle being relevant to the ongoing circumstances of its geographical location and/or political/cultural control. Probably the most common function of many still remaining castles is of tourist and cultural heritage attractions which are visited as part of the desired entertainment by those who visit the castles, no different from Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

Neuschwanstein is not a castle in the "fortified residence" sense. It's a fancy mansion in castle design. Below the plaster, there is a reinforced concrete structure with brick walls.
