I remember watching the entire wedding with my husband in the US and we were absolutely dying from second hand cringe.
All I wanted to do was apologize to the British ppl and say "We aren't all like Methane!"

How many ppl have no one or cannot even afford to have a wedding to speak of? To have so many ppl happy for you, sharing your happinest day with your ppl who love you, and the entire world joing in the celebration and somehow those two are ungrateful and angry?!

It was obvious from the late Queens face she was not impressed through the whole charade, then the evil woman didn't even have the decency to curtsey on the way out. The dim Prince should have told her as they passed. All her guests she hardly knew as she didn't invite her own family. He now has to live with the consequences.

Shortly after this "wedding" my historic site was visited by Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester. We were told under NO circumstances to ask or comment on the wedding. A woman who was a guest at a special dinner DID and was asked to leave.
I understand now why this "wedding" was so taboo!

It was a very uneasy and clunky wedding. The thing H married gurning like the village idiot all the way through. Everyone either looking miserable or trying not to laugh. How very undignified and devoid of any real sentiment it all was.

It looked like a cheesy wedding. US celebrities packing the pews, her grinning all over, and that horrible hairstyle and dress. Ick. It just felt “off” and awkward in a lot of ways. Brides will genuinely smile and look joyful, but she grinned all over and had a look of “ha, ha, you’ll never get rid of me now. Money, fame, and anything I want.”

This was the performance of her life..The worlds cameras and media on her, no nerves just that rictus grin, feeling triumphant knowing she'd snared a weak Prince and the havoc upset and abuse she was going to unleash on the Royal Family.

He had a wedding paid in part by the British taxpayer, but couldn’t return the favour by giving the British press good pics because he was pissed at them . He should have had a private wedding then paid my himself.
