The Tirpitz was finished to a modified design. She was heavier than the Bismarck. Plus incorporated extra protection that was one of the reasons for the loss of the Bismarck.

Tirpitz was quite successful and tied up large numbers of Royal Navy resources. The Tirpitz could sink a convoy and its escorts within 30 minutes. When convoy PQ17 was dispatched to Murmansk rumors of Tirpitz caused the British navy to split and scatter the convoy. The entire convoy was then sunk by the Luftwaffe and u-boats with ease.

When Tirpitz sank, the ship actually rolled over and part of its hull is still visible above the water at most tide levels even today.

The deterrence was aimed the Barents sea convoys rather than the Baltic sea, as convoys couldn't get into the Baltic sea since both ways in where controlled by Germany during the war

Tirpitz also had torpedos which at close range will be deadly and I think it’s a bit faster than Bismarck as well and is one of the best ships in world of warships and even though irl the armor was the same it had better aa guns and radar control systems meaning it technically had more armor

It's cool to hear of it because my great-grandpa was actually part of the crew that was on the Canadian maned aircraft carrier Nabob that was hit during the attack against it.

The Bismark was crippled when a British Biplane which flew so slow the ship's computerized guns could not lock onto it dropped a torpedo which caused its massive rudder to be stuck. The massive German Battleship was only able to turn in circles to port and a series of volleys from British ships finished her off.
