Tiebreak - Amazing Tennis Experience, Incomplete Video Game (Early Access Review)

I grew tired of Topspin 2k25 where every match plays the same. So I tried Tiebreak in Early Access to see if it's worth our time. And it turned out to be amazing game, with authentic tennis experience.

This is an in-depth review of Tiebreak video game in Early Access. For me, Tiebreak is already the best tennis video game on the market.
There are other beloved titles available to play which tennis hardcore fans adore like Tennis Elbow and Full Ace. I could never get into them due to clunky animations.

"Tiebreak Official Game of the ATP and WTA" has a great mix of high quality modern title and immersive gameplay tennis match experience.
I think you should give it a shot or at least put it on your radar for full release. And in this video I explain why that's the case.

Everything you say is true, i get so much hate for liking AO2 and Tiebreak from Topspin players who say i know nothing about tennis when 2k25 rallies and all videos look the same slow ball speed and boring, so many shots fall short and seem to have to make a real effort to get the ball long consistantly. Of course Tiebreak animations are choppy at times and baseline movement is improving. Why are you not running in circles moving on the baseline compared to other early access players who look all over the place. I am hoping by console release the game will be much improved.

The movement expecialy running forward looks bad. Please fix this before release

Man, thanks for the review! With the animation improving, people that think topspin is better will likely see beyond the animation, look at the actual ball physics, shot types and risk/reward that a real tennis match has.

That zoom while tossing the serve needs to be removed ASAP

I have 35 hours in Tieabrek and 120 hours in topspin. I have to say that Tiebreak is better tennis and anyone who says that it isn't either doesn't even have the game and read something somewhere or didn't take the time to learn it! I'm looking forward to the release and if topspin doesn't come as soon as possible with licensed tennis players, at least the first 50 in the ATP rankings, it will die because after so many hours it really has nothing to give me :)

Agree with everything said here, was critical of this game before I played it but it is extremely rewarding and plays a lot more like a real tennis rally which I love. Havent played topspin since I got this. Also the specific player animations are mint

Will definitely give this game a shot, mainly because of the impressive roster.

Good video. Visually Topspin gameplay looks better but l stopped playing Topspin after the first week. Gonna trade it in this weekend. I played the hell out of AO tennis 2 even though it was far from perfect. Tiebreak looks a lot better after the last update. There will be two more updates before launch and they will most likely update it a few more times post launch. The amout of content this game provides is unreal. You look at the strokes and player models of Medvedev and Alcaraz in Tiebreak and it blows Topspin away in my opinion. Can't wait for this game.

If the movement is good, it will be good. Thats why topspin runs away with it. Their running animations dont feel like animations from a tennis game from 2005

Player movement is too robotic and it seems you can´t have a good rally because shots have unreal angles

Interesting review, made me reconsider my position on tiebreak a bit. Whilst the gameplay looks kind of boring to me and not at all realistic (slow floaty ball physics and strange groundstrokes) maybe it’s more fun to actually play than it looks. Clearly the game is superior to topspin in every other way

Visually top spin is great for real but I already don’t care for the game 🤷🏾‍♂️ when you play online it’s like you have no chance at all to beat that player

Gameplay wise it seems to look a bit like Virtual Tennis, a bit arcade. Run and turn unrealistically fast, but i'm hyped about the wide rooster for sure! Let's hope they are gonna make some improvements. Looking forward.

Thank you so much for this detailed review! Definitely considering to pre order it rn. Btw, is there any local co-op features for Tiebreak on play station?

Tiebreak is improving all the time, rallies are far more exciting and ball speed is closer to real tennis, they just have to get the movement and animations right which i think they will by console release. Devs have said linesmen, ball boys and court logos will be added in. I like AO TENNIS 2 no matter what Topspin fanatics say, i have played more of AO2 than TS4 and if Tiebreak ends up better than AO2 with the great roster i will be very happy. 2K25 rallies look so slow compared to real tennis matches, just compare on Youtube.

You should give a try to Full ace Tennis with FA Mod 1.7 ;)

I appreciate the video, and I agree with the list of things to improve.
Personally, I would like to see real tennis umpires and their voices - icons such as Kader Nouni and Mohammed Lahyani. Not the recycled boring voice-overs from previous games.
The graphics look average. Particularly when it comes to lighting and the crowd. Where are the ball boys? It might sound like I'm nitpicking, but these things impact my decision to buy the game or not.
