God wants to CLEAN you before He can USE you

I've prayed many times in my life, "God cleanse me" not realizing the weight of such a prayer. I've been guilty before of praying this prayer with a predetermined method of how God should cleanse me.

In order to be used by God fully, we have to break away the sins that hold us captive. This is a process I've been undergoing recently and it's been very bittersweet. Bitter to my flesh and my pride, but sweet to my soul and my faith.

Sometimes we don't even know the sins that are holding us captive and that's why we need to be aware of how God is bringing to light the sins that are trying to ruin us.

I’ve been struggling with this so much. I constantly find myself comparing who I am now to who I was at the beginning of my walk with God, when everything felt so perfect. I’m praying God will remove the sins I’m not aware of - or that I’m fooling myself into believing isn’t sinful.

Sadly, the latter one is the likely stronghold - I’m actively hoping it’s not sinful, but if it is, I pray God will help me get rid of it, because I’m honestly scared of sin.

In a different area, He’s been helping me catch myself regarding how I treat people, which is definitely on the petty and selfish side at times. And I’m so thankful He has been pointing these out to me, so I have the chance to try and improve.
Truth be told, I do think getting out of retail will help with that - remove the temptation to be wrongly irritated by customers. But Him just teaching how to catch myself is a massive blessing.

I still would like to ask for prayer regarding that potential stronghold. It’s something that I’ve tried to take the sin away from, and I feel like I’ve mostly succeeded, but I just. Don’t know if the core action is sinful or not. And yes, it is complicated to explain here, which is why I’m being so vague.
Just… pray for me please.

What a beautiful video I resonate with this so much because I’ve struggled with lust hatred and anger all my life and have been struggling to let it go but seeing this video made me realize that I have a lot of sin that needs to be dealt with and cleansed through true repentance and looking deep within myself and admitting I’m a sinner and not thinking about the consequence it has on me and others
