I really wish someone would just release a new version with both Ashanti and Tamia

Tamia originally released " into you" in 1998 and they had planned a duet between fab and her for the 03 release. However around the time of recording Tamia was having throat surgery. So as a backup plan they got Ashanti to do it. Once she recovered she recorded and it sounded phenomenal. So they (irv gotti and fab and team) probably went over which version they should push as a single. I believe easily tamia made the most sense. Seeing its her song no point to have Ashanti trying to recreate a classic. Plus ashanti was already busy and not available for the making of the video. So they continued with the original plan. This song I believe shows up on the album while tamia is a stand alone single. I hope this helped answer a long ask question why two versions of this song exist.

Come on now. Tamia version is superior. Her voice is beautiful and soulful. Ashanti sound sleepy. She’s not that good at singing and lack soul. The original even beats the remix. Which is Tamia.

I think they would sing good together if was on stage tamia would sing her main part and Ashanti would sing back up with tamia that’s my honest opinion on my take on this I know this song remade like four times already
Including “kid ink ft ty dolls sign& then another one by A YouTuber Artist named Sydney I wouldn’t be surprised if there is going to be a mashup version of all four songs put together that be more awesome

But I wonder why Fab didn’t do a colab in the first place just by listening to both tamia and Ashanti they both sound on point together
