It’s interesting how the character behavior mirrored the real life on set behavior. The main girls in the cast were not welcoming to a lot of the newcomer girls joining the cast or guest-starring. Christine who played Emily here was no exception. Petty, immature, insecure, and meanspirited behavior on the part of these spoiled young actresses who instead of recognizing how lucky they were, decided to behave like rotten 7th graders. And this is absolutely backed up by numerous sources including the new actresses themselves. Then of course some of them turned on each other, too. There’s also the rumor, and it very well may have just been a rumor, that the extras were not spared this ridiculous behavior either, with some being ordered off the set if they happened to attract a little too much attention from the guys in the cast. The girls didn’t like that one bit, so the rumor goes. Just rotten behavior, and so much for supporting and empowering other women. I hope they raised their children better as they aged, or if childless, influenced young family members to be better as well.

The funny thing about this scene is that i think the catty behavior was going on when shannen left and in towards tiffany and vanessa, they were treated poorly by the girls on the show.i dont think andrea being older and more mature wasnt a part of this .

Emily was great, i wish they gave her a permanent role on the show, like they did luke .i think she had amazing chemistry with Brandon and hood chemistry with the rest of the cast.
