Dollar Bin Hunting at WINTER CON - Comic Book Haul

I was set up as a seller at Winter Con, but still found some time to hunt for some comics for myself!

Nice! I grew up in PA, my HS sports teams played against Upper Darby all the time! The first con I ever went to was in Philly in the late 80’s!

Hi Joe. 1. I never thought I'd see Promethea on any of these comics videos, so glad that you highlighted what is a stunning series with absolutely beautiful art by J. H. Williams III and Mick Gray; and a number of covers in the series are homages to famous earlier comics covers. 2. Sentry's high cost doesn't make sense to me: the character has basically zero exposure in the Marvel Universe, no presence in movies or series (except for the usual rumours from the usual unidentified sources) yet to obtain all five issues of the 2000 miniseries in high grade would set you back a couple of hundred dollars. Hard to fathom. 3. Love the cover to JLA #27, "The Exorcist" is one of the great horror movies of all time. 4. What an eye-catching cover on Little Lulu #16! And I think there is definitely a market for cartoon books, partly because they are getting harder to find and partly because owning Golden Age comics is very desirable and the superhero and horror ones are way out of the price range of most of us. 5. It's Bob "Mac Cloud". 6. The last issue of Darkhawk (so far) is #51 from 2018, a one-off published 23 years after the title ended with #50 in 1995. 7. Definitely a good deal for all those comics and, as importantly, the quality is high. And the DCs for $10 are a nice bonus.
