I'm new, this is my first wipe, lvl 16. I hadn't run into a cheater until last night. I ground out my lvl 2 traders with the help of a friend and decided to spend on a nice AK because I had just unlocked a lot of parts. We loaded into woods, pushed a player spawn, and my buddy and I spotted two players. He was suppressed shooting maybe 100-150m and dropped the first guy extremely quickly. I wrapped to his left to try to flank and get an angle on the last guy, I peak, and he hits me in the chest hard with his first bullet. I thought "ouch good shot." BUT wasn't suspicious as I'm half blind. My buddy wraps the opposite way never exposing himself and flanks through some bushes. The guy kills him through bushes and he calls cheats, and I was cautious, but not 100%. I continue wrapping to the guys backside, don't spot him, and decide to leave. I get one tapped by M995 from about 200m through a whole damn forest. 99% Sure it's a cheater as he ALWAYS knew where we were, even when we weren't peaking, and anytime we peaked he never missed a shot.

Czech servers are pretty good, usually never encounter any cheaters on them

I play on São paulo servers because i’m Brazilian and i never encountered a cheater because the game it’s so expensive for a average person on brazil, 45 dollars is like 230 Reais . The only sad news it’s that sometimes u get almost solo raids .

i've been living in China for 10 years and playing many different online games. One tips, AVOID asia server !! it might be the most populated cheater servers for some games. Use cheat for many chinese players (not all) are quite common, maybe less with tarkov cause an account isn't that cheap so you cannot buy 100 of them. Buying Rust account or pubg (not anymore cause free to play) or others games are cheap here. That's also one of the reason many chinese player who are not cheating also have to play on EU or US server cause Chinese or asian server are just full of cheater, mostly unplayable, it's really cheater vs cheater. The second population i encounter the most cheating at least in rust or cs was russian and ukrainian. But since many BSG employee must be playing on russian server, they are maybe more active on banning cheaters, That's the reason why maybe some russian servers could be a good idea.

Hm i would avoid playing on foreign servers with a possible higher ping. You will more likely experience more desync. So dont wonder if you get into situations where your body drops after you allready got behind cover. But what do i know :)

how prevalent overall is cheating in tarkov? in what ways can they cheat, and how diligent are the devs in stopping this? ive been iced a number of questionable times, but the worst part about cheaters is the doubt. i will take the L but with the notion that people cheat, it CHEATS me out of even my legitimate loss because i cannot fully accept my loss with cheaters.
