I started collecting the teeny TFs with DotM's Cyberverse line, which went into the Prime series. I don't collect the third party stuff like Iron Factory, but I do get quite a few duplicates to convert into other characters. The current Legends class work well as Voyager equivalents compared to the Legion class as Deluxes.

It's so funny because I had this realization that legends is just the way to go. I spent the time doing the math and the way the market is going, your season 1 legends is a few hundred dollars cheaper than chug. It is a great way to go!

I'm saving up to order the iron factory phase sixers (and tarn) and knowing how I am, I'm probably gonna get a bunch of autobot legends like prime, dai atlas, starsaber (if they ever make him) to match and end up getting into legends, but we'll see

legends are great cause even if you're not a legends collector, they are usually priced cheap enough to grab a few for your desk at work of your favorite characters.

Definitely looking to pickup the ms Prime, Ultra magnus and the Cyclonus, also some of those Iron factory Tyrant and Shockwave. Not to mention the Soundwave and Starscream. Great review.

Another good reason to collect legends is that most collectors wont have problems playing...i mean posing them. With the masterpiece line most collectors think twice for fear of damaging the figures.

I'm a big fan of the Iron Factory look and updates. I'm considering getting a few for my boys. I like the new Hound figure they have.

Space is my number one reason followed by a distant 2nd is price. I've got a legend class representation of almost every G1 character, and it all fits on 1 shelf not a small shelf but just one shelf.
And as soon as I can get a Metroplex at a reasonable price I win in for satisfactory display purposes.

Awesome video.Spacing & scale plays an impt role for legend collection . I bet it will even looks much more cooler when you got the haslab unicrone and you make an epic diarama of it. Sadly i wont be able to get the unicron😣

Not gonna lie: I'm pretty pissed that the Masterpiece line's design aesthetic has shifted to full toon. If I were to continue to buy them, I'd be stuck with a collection that doesn't match. At least with Legends I'd be able to cobble something together that looks cohesive on the shelf. Haven't taken the jump yet, though.

Sure they don't take a lot of space but they do take your money faster than bigger figures. At least with bigger figure you can make an excuse of having no space. While with the legends you can easily cram them in a small shelf and that alone will make you buy a lot of them non-stop.

Space is definitely a thing where Legends scale destroys MP and even the other CHUG scale classes. I'm not a fan (I tend to avoid it unless it's a necessary evil, like Soundwave's & Blaster's tape Minions), but there's definitely pieces that are extremely tempting. Like that Iron Factory Bruticus (and the Car Robots Baldigus/RiD01 Ruination repaint), the Hot Soldiers Optimus Prime, etc.

I'm curious about some of the images, though: is someone about to attempt the Stunticons??? That worries me. Wouldn't be so worrisome if it was an Iron Factory set, but, who can possibly put out a Menasor in Legends scale that also looks good? I'm not seeing the G1 animation, G1 toy, OR IDW designs working well in such a tiny format.

G1 ALL DAY BRO.. But they're all pretty great looking.  The rub is getting  past the perceived value. The New Age stuff is awesome but $40 for a lil tiny weeny figure is kind of a deal breaker for tha kid.. I'll pick up one or two of the New Age but the Iron Factory price, for what you get, seems a bit less rapey, so I've just stuck with them.
