Quick question, does this mean if i replaced the distributor rotor ONLY, i wouldn't have to use a timing light or have the engine on top dead center before starting it?

Fíjate que tengo un problema con los cables de bujías de escape, tengo una Nissan z24 8 bujias, .pasa lo siguiente,
Al ir andando se me apaga la camioneta la enciendo nuevamente y prende al ir andando, después presenta unos jaloneos al acelerar, me di cuenta que los cables de bujías se están tronando del lado de la bujia, y van 4 veces que cambio los cables de diferente cilindros no sé si sea problema de la bobina o del distribuidor, o alternador, espero me puedas ayudar, saludos cordiales
