They care about that, but not that every seat in my movie theater is either covered in nacho cheese, peeling leather and smells like sex and candy. Or that we have to sit through 25 minutes of previews that start at the time the show is supposed to start so it’s unavoidable.

From an accessibility perspective, making a film nearly 3 and a half hours long with no intermission makes watching in a cinema if you need to move because of blood circulation, back issues, access to the toilet, ect.

Considering that those issues will either flat out stop people from attending or will have to work around the lack intermissions by missing or disrupting the experience for others.

What I would like to know is why the director feels there can't be any intermissions, and has he considered the consequences? Genuinely curious why.

Also yes, of all the things to worry about when there are so many issues with projectors, audio levels, ect, this feels like small potatoes. However I suspect that's possibly the easiest thing to enforce.

No! No intermissions UNLESS intended or approved by the Director

Or they can make 95% of the screenings "accessible" ones with intermissions (like some theaters have accessible screenings with open captions) and have 5% of them be the "default" with no intermission

Here, where I live in Italy, most cinemas make intermissions in all movies. Even 90 mins ones. KoFM made me finally appreciate that
