Today’s read aloud is one of my favorite books, by one of my favorite authors. If you are one of my students, you are familiar with Shel Silverstein’s writing. He usually writes poetry, but this book is a little different than most of his other writing. The Giving Tree is a classic that has touched hearts for a long time.
