I agree with you on how boring decor is now. I have started writing to some of the companies that are still in business and asking them to rerelease vintage decor.

That santa you showed towards the end in the shop that was made out of folded pages, was a craft super popular in the 1960s when I was growing up. They are made with Reader Digest magazines and you fold all the pages and then spray paint and add whatever topper you wanted. I actually made an angel one in girl scouts (U.S.) and I know my grandma and mom made this craft too. I've seen snowmen done this wa;y also. I think the heads are crafted from styrofoam balls that you can make the face on and embellish and then glue on the top of the pages, where they come together to a point.
