Mahoosuc notch! HARDEST mile on the (Appalachian Trail thru hike)

Welcome to day 161!!! Where we tackle the hardest million the trail. Took us about two hours to do it and had a ton of fun. Definitely required some team work, encouragement, and also a slight sense of feeling like you might die at any point! We hitched. went to an outfitter. Got offered a shack to stay in by owner of the outfitters. Very random told us we could go in and use the house while they are at the movies to see the food movie. My phone battery died and we ended up in Gorham! Enjoy the craziness of today!

By now I know you've successfully finished your journey, so congratulations on that! I thought you did an admirable job of the Notch. Lots of places to get injured through there. Sure wouldn't want to do it in the rain!!

Gadget, do you remember at the very beginning of your AT hike someone said you were a “greenhorn”? And you were pretty blown away by that. If they could see you now- no one would ever call you a greenhorn. Congratulations, you are one tough cookie!

The notch looked sketchy is like saying a monsoon was like a light rain shower. Flexible is a good word that goes with the Notch. The bottom of your feet looked painful. New shoes I pray help you heal your feet. Your inner spark is showing in your voice and shines through either your smith and sense of humor. ❤😊
