100k isn’t high mileage, 200k is mid miles, 300k is high.

I have sold cars and I have been telling people that high mileage late model cars are the sweet spot for years. 90% of the buyers are turned off with a 100k miles auto... that makes the DEMAND side of the equation in your favor. when you have a 3 year old car with 100k miles, that car was run up and down the interstate. Interstate miles are far less wear then you think. All you need to check is oil changed regularly, general wear (interior) and tires and brakes. Boom big value get it cheap

I get most of my newer cars with 100k+ on the clock. Most extreme was an 03 excursion 4x4 with a 7.3 powerstroke. Bought with 766k miles!!! For $3000! Now has 1.1 MILLION miles. Still worth $3000.

My 2005 Jeep Libery (Canadian) has 242, 000k Km. (150, 000 miles) . And it still sounds smells and drives shifts smooth owned it for 8 months no issues, except power mirrors stopped working. Most likely the switch. But happy camper.

Ls 400 300, 000 owned it for over a year. Not one problem. Also a 95 hardbody 296, 000 miles and also no problems. And if I wanted to sell them I'd make a decent amount of cash, basically I'm a fan of high mileage cars.

High mileage means how reliable the car is if you take care of it.

I like the BMW brand and won't buy unless it has over 100k miles. Last 3 cars and mileage: 2001 330i sold at 335k miles no issues, 2004 330ci sold at 286k miles no issues, current 2007 550i 226k miles and runs like a top, 2006 x3 143k miles no issues. They should change the KBB Value system, it's outdated!

I recently bought a ‘99 996 C2 manual coupe with 115k for $8k... ran fine, didnt overheat, and came with some Fikse FM10s and a set of factory wheels.

No PPI needed as its worth more in parts ;-)

Doing some maintenance now and will enjoy it this spring/summer then decide if its a keeper or up for a flip

Could not agree more. I'm enjoying the shit out of my 130k mile Alfa Romeo, and it doesn't drink a drop of oil from one oil change to the next one

My 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix has over 300, 000 and I bought it almost 2 years ago for 2, 600 when it had almost 200, 000. After I changed the starter, alternate and oils it put me at almost 4, 000 total for my car. I don’t have any issues with it, but it’s great to know how to care for your care.
